The short version: We collect only what we need, we don't sell your data, and we use Supabase (hosted in the EU/US) to securely store your account information. Your mental health information stays private.
1. What We Collect
When you create an account, we collect:
- Email address and password (encrypted)
- Your name (if provided during sign-up)
- Articles you save to your reading list
- Basic usage data (pages visited, time on site) via anonymous analytics
We do not collect sensitive health or therapy session content. Expert sessions are arranged directly between you and the professional.
2. How We Use Your Data
- To authenticate your account and keep it secure
- To save your reading list and preferences
- To send you transactional emails (account confirmation, password reset)
- To improve the platform through anonymous analytics
We do not use your data for advertising, profiling, or sale to third parties.
3. Third-Party Services
MindQuilt uses the following third-party services, each with their own privacy policies:
- Supabase — authentication and database storage
- Stripe — payment processing for expert sessions (we never store card details)
- Cal.com — session booking with experts
- Resend — transactional email delivery
- Vercel — website hosting
4. Cookies
We use only essential cookies required for authentication (session tokens). We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.
5. Data Retention
Your account data is retained for as long as your account is active. You can request deletion of your account and all associated data by emailing support@mindquilt.com.
6. Your Rights
Depending on your location, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete your personal data. To exercise these rights, contact us at support@mindquilt.com.
7. Children's Privacy
MindQuilt is intended for users 18 and older. We do not knowingly collect personal information from minors.
8. Security
We use industry-standard security practices including encrypted connections (HTTPS), hashed passwords, and access-controlled databases through Supabase. No system is 100% secure, but we take reasonable measures to protect your data.
9. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy occasionally. We'll update the date at the top of this page. Continued use of MindQuilt after changes constitutes acceptance.
